A sandy field scattered with small brown blossoms, buttoned close down the front so the pattern reads unbroken. It looks like a flower. It was an animal. It is now a stone.
The stone: Agatized Fossil Coral — coral colonies buried thirty million years ago, replaced cell by cell with chalcedony. Every rosette across the surface was once a living polyp, preserved mid-bloom.
Cut, stitched and finished by women, every purchase carries another woman forward.
